Spin the Wheel game for learning

We designed and developed the Spin the Wheel game for learning as part of a suite of editable templated games for the Cambridge University Press & Assessment English department.

Spin the Wheel is a front of class game based on the classic show, Wheel of Fortune. A wheel is divided into a number of segments with each segment relating to a question, task or directly winning or losing points. Each team spins the wheel in turn and answers the question or completes the task indicated on the segment they land on. The teams compete until one team is the winner.

As with all the Cambridge HTML5 games that educate, the visual design, animation, music and sound of the Spin the Wheel template can be modified using a bespoke Games Editor tool. With a simple interface, this tool allows the team at Cambridge to create unique scenarios and themes and produce multiple game types with a wide variety of text-based and audio-visual content suited to the subject, age group and education level.

Learners can access and play the games through the Cambridge One platform on all desktop, tablet and mobile devices.
