Penpals for Handwriting
Penpals for Handwriting Second Edition is a newly revised series of resources following up on the internationally best-selling series of Penpals first Editions. Penpals is a whole school handwriting scheme for 3 to 11-year-olds.
Alternative View was asked to design and develop 8 DVD-Roms. The interactive content was also designed to be delivered on the internet in the future.
A database and admin panel was developed using the Laravel PHP Framework so Cambridge editors could add the text, image, audio and video content themselves. The front-end app, including the interactive whiteboard tools, was created using Angular Dart and then wrapped for DVD-Rom using Electron Shell.
Penpals was shortlisted for a Bett Award 2017 in the Primary Digital Content category
